Mr. Brannon was born on May 15, 1915 and passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2009.

Mr. Brannon was last known to be living in Graham, North Carolina.

He was a graduate of Elon University. After receiving a bachelor�s degree in science and history, he earned his master�s in administration from Peabody School of Education of Vanderbilt University. His education affiliations included NCAE, NEA, and Retired School Personnel of Alamance County.

During World War II, he served in the U. S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church of Graham by Dr. Kenneth Hall with interment following at Linwood Cemetery . Visitation will be held in the parlor at the church from 1 until 2:30 p.m. and at other times at the residence.
