I had just gotten a new puppy. Grandpa lit up when he saw this new puppy. I'll never forget the day we went out to eat. When everyone was finished eating he grabbed the untouched chicken drumstick, wrapped it in a clean napkin and stuffed it into his flannel breast pocket. He said,"For Hutch, later." That gesture spoke volumes to me about who grandpa was how much he cared for others.
