Brother Joe was one of the greatest men that I have ever known! I had the privilege of working with him a few years ago at the funeral home and he was always a pleasure to be around. Occasionally Brother Joe and I would email one another just to catch up and exchange sentiments and he always had very uplifting words to share. After learning of his illness, I called him on Christmas Eve to arrange a visit. Fortunately, I

When I received my first appointment, Joe Parker became a mentor and a companion in ministry. His gentle presence and strong faith modeled for me how to serve in the midst of life. I will miss this giant of the faith but rejoice at his homecoming with the Lord. Praying with Eunice and his family as they grieve their loss. May God's presence comfort you.

Shortly after Joe retired as our pastor,I sent him a letter that contained a passage of scripture from 1 Thessalonians 1:Vs.2-3 which reads,"We always thank God for you, mentioning you in our prayers. We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ."I feel blessed that our life paths crossed in this world,Joseph.

We are so sorry to hear of Joe's passing, but the good news is that you know where he is and that you will be with him again. He was such a sweet man and he was preaching the first Sunday I ever played the piano when I was aged 10 years old. I think it was his first Sunday preaching at Clarks UM Church also. He held my daddy's service and he was such a loved friend to our whole family. Will be praying for all of his family but know you are rejoicing in his gain.
