Shirley was a lovely lady and a stalwart Republican. Always smiling and full of energy, she epitomized the best in our country.

She lived a long and full life and led the way for many of us, and we are grateful for her presence.

Sincere condolences to the family.

I remember Shirley, as many years ago I had pleasure of knowing her through our mutual friend Virginia Barbee Eagle, when Virginia lived in Foxcroft. We shared commonalities in that we both had roots in the midwest and our sons were in same grade at Millbrook HS. She was an elegant, lady, sweet and kind hearted- a joy to be with. My heartfelt condolences to her family. You have lost a loved one, but now have an angel in heaven forever.

Shirley was a friend of my grandmother, Louise Gay. They exercised together for many years and went shopping and on lunches and beach trips. Prayers for your family. May you find comfort in knowing she's walking the streets of gold.
