Memories & Candles
We were so saddened to hear of Al's passing. And yet, had the happy thought that he and Nancy are together again. I attended their wedding, along with 3 other classmates who were all students of Nancy's at Cuba Central School. Thieir visits back to Cuba were always a joy to those of us who knew this vibrant, fun loving couple. Please be sure our prayers are with you at this time of loss.

Al will be missed by all who knew him. His quick wit, competitive spirit and love for for family, friends and just about everyone he'd meet was always evident. He joins the love of his life, Nancy, who is waiting for him in heaven. I'm sure it will be a joyous reunion.

A great man with a great family. Peace to all of the many lives he touched. May having him reunited with beautiful Nancy help you through this time of grief, and may the joy of memories soon replace the sorrow you now feel.

Al was a dear man that will be missed by all. Heaven is a little brighter now that he is there with his dear Nancy. "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened" (Dr. Seuss)

Col. and Mrs. La Barbera were very. very close friends of my parents. My dad and Al had served together and remained friends after their retirements. I was fortunate to get to know them, and their family, through my parents. They were among the kindest and friendliest people I had ever met. We were all devastated when Mrs. Le Barbera passed away, at least now we can find some level of comfort that the two of them are reunited forever.
Our thoughts prayers are with their family and all other close friends.

We are deeply saddened to learn of Al's passing. We served with him during those turblent days in the early 1970's when he was Director of Centralized Pay Operations at the USA Army Finance and Accounting Center. We have never known a finer officer.
Our profound sympathies go out to the family. Know that our prayers are with you and that he will be with his dear Nancy forever.

Al and Nancy were my parents' dearest friends and, as a result of that friendship, they became dear friends of ours. I looked forward to every party my parents threw because I knew the La Barbera's would be there. We send our deepest sympathy to the family as we keep you all in our prayers.

We are so terribly sorry to lose one of our most dear and very long time friends. We know, though, that Al is mow able to be with his loving wife, Nancy. We will cherish the many great memories we have enjoyed with both Al and Nancy over the last 47+ years..
