Memories & Candles
I had the privelege of knowing & working with Scott @ SunTrust over the past 5 years. Scott always had a calmness and such a contagious, positive spirit. His casual, down to earth personality was much admired. He will be missed....Peace Be With You

I was Scott’s first Grand Haven Water Polo coach and absolutely loved having him on my team. You could always depend on him to give 110%. I trust he was like that with every aspect of his life. My most rewarding experience with Scott was when he returned to coach the GH team and I became his assistant. His passion for the game was infectious and I will always remember what a great job he did. It was so rewarding

There are no words to express our loss of our best friend. Scott, Marta, and the girls are our family. Scott was a best firend, brother, game partner, comedian, and uncle to our son. Most of our weekends were spent with the Richardsons playing games, harassing one another, and spending the night with our son Dutch. Scotty we will miss your love, laugh, "hey man",hugs, teasing, ability kick some major butt in cards, circles, cruising, great cocktails, your Spartan love, your amazing father and uncle skills, and so much more. We love you man!

I will remember many fond memories of Scott from our MSU groups time in Mexico. I cannot recall a time when he didn't have a smile on his face or a positive attitude. He set a great example of how to approach life. He will be missed.

What can you say when such great person goes to Heaven too soon? We wish we had the power to take some of the pain away from his family. Scott was such an amazing person, one of the funniest men we got the pleasure to meet! Scott: you will always be in our hearts. We will always be here for Marta and the girls. Marta: we are deeply sorry for your loss. We love you friend and know you can ALWAYS count on us!

This was truely a match made in Heaven. He will be missed. All of the Spartan family will miss him. All of his Mexico friends will miss him. Our thoughts are with you and the girls.
I still remember the Dave Mathews song at your wedding too. He was truely one of the funniest people I have ever known. We are all so lucky to know him. He made us all want to be a better person.

My heart is with Scott's entire family at this time. Our banking relationship was hand and hand with a friendship that grew from working with, and just knowing him. I will miss surveying the golf courses with Scott, that's what we called it, a property tour. He was not good at golf, but there were those shots, just like on TV! I am happy to count myself among the many friends of and Marta, Maya and Sophia, that they may not have known a lot about.
