Ivey and I were stationed on the USS Preserver (ARS8). We had a lot of good times together. We would take trips to Pink Hill for the weekend. The thinks I remember the most are his fun loving attitude and his smile. Ivey always had a smile.
You'll be missed. Fair winds and following seas.

Well I don't know where to start. Ivey was my baby brother. We didn't always see eye to eye but that was ok. At the end of the day everything was ok. Our family had a close bond that couldn't be broken. Believe me people and the devil have tried over these 42 short years. God and family always won. We only have his memory now. And that's ok til we see him again. Ivey lived life to the fullest.

My deepest condolences to you and your family on your loss. I only hope that you and your family can find comfort in the words of St Mathew 5;4 "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted."

Ivey & I have had some wonderful & excited memories.......I will always treasure the love that we have for one another. I can tell you that the last time he was home we went to Durham to buy some Nascar's, and we bought 530 cars....we were so excited, that we said it was like Christmas...when we got back in Ivey's truck to come back home, I kept seeing Ivey looking at me, and I finally looked at him and said
