Memories & Candles
I first met Gary on the sidewalk outside my sister's house in Columbus as Nancy and he arrived from Fort Wayne for the celebrations prior to Scott and Rachna's wedding. Even though I had not seen his picture before, I instantly recognized him as he beamed widely when I greeted them. Few people have the gift of leaving an indelible stamp of warmth and love on even a fleeting acquaintance and that as I discovered over the next five days

Gary, From the first day I met you, you always made me feel comfortable and welcome. You treated me like your own son and had the trust in me to take care of your daughter. You were like a father to me and I loved you like you were my own. You were a great husband, father, brother, son, uncle, ect.. but you were the best grandpa. Willow loved and adored you so much. Nancy,
Have a lot of good memories of Gary. He talked often of his family with great joy. He was very proud of his kids and talked about life after retirement with you and Key West.
I will miss him but never forget him and his big smile!
May the LORDS PEACE be with you,
Bruce

I can see uncle Gary now, smiling, and that is how I will always remember him. Gary always wore a smile, loved sports, was great with kids, and was a dedicated family man. In loving memory...
