"John and I went to school together starting in Thor Elementary and proceeding thru high school. We went to confirmation for three years under Pastor Quam at Ullensvang Lutheran Church in Thor. I didn't have any family left in the area so I drifted away. The last time I saw John was at our 40th class reunion. I could tell that he had become the man the boy only hinted at.
