Condolence & Memory Journal

Polly was my mother, Betty Wright's, best friend for a many years since they met in 1969 when they both were kindergarten teachers at Southside Elementary. Though in their elder years, they were separated by miles, Polly and Betty made a point to call each other once a week as long as they were able. My family has coined the saying, "Everyone needs a Polly!" Betty passed away the day before Polly. I believe in God's infinite mercy, grace, and peace, He gave our family comfort in these events: 1) taking our mother peacefully in her sleep; 2) allowing her to pass away the the same date, hour, and even within minutes that our father passed away four years ago; and 3) perhaps He took Polly to heaven the day after mom's death because Polly didn't want mom to be without her. There is a glorious reunion going on in right Heaven now. Didn't we both have wonderful mothers!
