Margaret M. Alexander

86, of White Lake, MI passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at her home in White Lake. Margaret was born on October 14, 1926 in Pontiac, Michigan, daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Miller) Geiger. She married Robert Alexander in July of 1945 and they raised their family in the Oakland County area. Robert preceded her in death on September 20, 2009. Margaret enjoyed being a mother and homemaker. She was involved in many areas of volunteering, most recently, meals on wheels in Waterford, MI. She also enjoyed crocheting and made many lap blankets for cancer patients. She took great pride in the crocheted christening outfits she made for her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Robert, Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter Rena Jean in 2011, her brother, Carl Geiger and sister, Ann Richie.

Margaret is survived by her children, Marilyn Ann (Randy) Lingenfelter of Gaylord and Roberta Joyce (Kent) Taylor of White Lake, MI; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am on Thursday at the funeral home. Fr. Raymond Valerio will officiate. Burial will be in the Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.
