Paul was born on November 8, 1926 and passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019.

Paul was a resident of Pittsboro, North Carolina at the time of passing.

Paul graduated from Lee County High School and briefly attended API before enlisting in the U. S. Navy in 1944 at the age of 17. While in the Navy, he graduated from the University of South Carolina and was commissioned as an ensign in 1946.

A private service of remembrance will be held at a later date.
