Robert was born on September 13, 1935 and passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018.

Robert was a resident of Raleigh, North Carolina at the time of passing.

He attend Raleigh public schools, including Hugh Morson High where he was active in band, mixed chorus, sports, debating team and president of the graduating class of 1954.

His father died when he was 6 years old and was raised at his mother's family home in the Piney Grove Community in southern Wake County. Services will be held at Longview Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 17 at 2pm. There will be visitation with the family at the Church from 1pm to 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to Longview Baptist Church (2308 New Hope Rd, Raleigh, NC 27604) or the charity of one's choice.
