Marla, Let me piggy-back on Christine's message. A little part of the Bon Haven I've always known has died because you and Art, together, won't be enjoying any more afternoon sunsets at the dock. Christine said it perfectly--you two were great together. We so take life for granted--can't remember my last conversation with Art--but just like Christine I remember the smile and good nature. My only regret is I didn't call your house to congratulate him when Georgia Tech beat Virginia Tech a few weeks ago. Then again, thought I'd just run into him and tell him then. Sorry I won't be running into him anymore. Finally, in losing Art, we lose another WWII vet. I go to DC often. When I do, I always run by the WWII memorial. I go to the Pennsylvania column and think about my Dad, Uncles, and Dads of my friends. I will make it a point to go to the Georgia column and say a thanks to Art. So I close by saying, "here's to you Art" (I hope there's bourbon in heaven). You had a very good life--and that is illustrated by the family you leave behind. Barry and Sarah, and Alex and Barrett

Arthur...... likes to laugh, always nice, always remembers to ask about my kids, enjoyed the water and fishing, loved his wife dearly - you could see it in his eyes when he talks about her - walked out to get the mail and newspaper in his bathrobe(hehe), loved his dogs(r.i.p)and mine, talented with his woodwork, ALWAYS had a smile whenever I talked to him. My sincerest symapthies to Marla and the family. Rest in Peace, Art. You deserve it! Love, the Allens
