Betty Kouba, age 80 of Mott, passed away suddenly Sunday morning, February 10, 2013 at her home in Mott.

A Service of Remembrance for Betty will be held at 1:00 PM on February 14 at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Mott. Cremation has taken place and the cremains will be buried beside her husband Stanley at Sunnyslope Cemetery in Mott.

Betty A. Sieler was born on November 19, 1932 to Adam and Frederika (Huber) Sieler, in Lemmon SD. She attended Hay Hill #1 School from 1st to the 8th grade. She was married to Stanley P. Kouba on June 27th, 1955 at Lemmon SD. They lived there until Feb. of 1956 when they moved to Mott, ND. Betty worked at Red Owl and Smith Drug in Lemmon and after moving to Mott worked at restaurants and lounges in a variety of positions and in the surrounding area. Betty enjoyed fishing, dancing, bingo and casinos. Betty also very much enjoyed her 2 great grandchildren Joseph Lien and Eden Zaste.

Surviving family members include her special friend of many years, Elmer Staudinger, Mott, ND; her daughter and son-in-law, Rachelle and Randy Lien, Lincoln, ND; 2 grandchildren, Jeremiah (Erica) Lien and Desirae (Sheldon) Zaste, 2 great grandchildren, Joseph Lien and Eden Zaste; and 1 sister, Vivian Salzsieder, Lemmon, SD and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Stanley, sisters, Helen (Charlie) Johnson, Martha (Glenn) Edwards, Leoda (Alfred) Anderson; brothers, Herbert (Leona) Sieler, Gilbert Sieler and one who died in infancy; four great grandchildren, twins Shane & Skye, Logan and Jayden Zaste all died in infancy.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the Service of Remembrance at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Mott.
