Bruce Ridinger, 75 of Tualatin, passed away Tuesday, October 30 at the Avamere Rehab of King City. Bruce was born in Contra Costa, California to William Ray and Winnie Fern (Boyd) Ridinger. He graduated from Albany Union High School and went to OSU on a football scholarship where he decided to leave early to join the Navy. After serving in the Navy, Bruce joined the Albany Police Department and spent several years in law enforcement in the Mid Valley. He later left police work and worked in sales of manufactured housing, automobiles, and real estate. Upon retirement, Bruce lived in Eugene on his 7 acres and – as an absolute sports fanatic - became a huge Oregon Duck fan. Most recently he was living in Aurora to be closer to his son's family. Bruce is survived by his wife, Judy Ridinger of Eugene; son, Scott Ridinger and wife Carolyn of Tualatin; step children, Rick Ruaro of Ketchikan, Alaska, Randy Ruaro of Juneau, Alaska, and Lisa Brickman of Cle Elum, Washington; sister, Margaret Thornton; grandchildren, Jeff and Paige Ridinger, Jordan and Derick Brickman, Colten Sowa, Jodi, Erik, and Dylan Ruaro; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Doug Ridinger. At Bruce's request no services are planned.
