Charlie Wilbur Cone, aged 94, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Odell Cone, and son, Danny M. Cone; brothers, J.T. Cone, Harold Gray Cone, and John Cone, all of Middlesex; sisters, E. J. Hellman of Hampton, VA,and Beatrice Hales of Middlesex..
He is survived by a son, (W.C.) Wilbur Carroll Cone and wife, Joyce, of Rocky Mount; daughters, Patricia Morris and husband, Chester, of Wilson, Judy Staton and husband, George, of Red Oak, and Jackie Price of Garner, daughter-in-law, Judith Rhodes Cone of Gibsonville; ten grandchildren, Ginger Morris, Wendy Langley, Beth Candler, Kim Hackney, Ken Staton, Terrance Staton, Dayna Aldredge, M. Chad Price, Stephanie Holland, and David-Michael Cone. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home, 661 English Road, Rocky Mount, NC. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
