Mr. Shepherd was born on June 19, 1937 and passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2009.

Mr. Shepherd was last known to be living in Greensboro, North Carolina.

He is survived by his wife Janet.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Monday, November 2, 2009, at Guilford College United Methodist Church. Burial will be at 1:30 PM Monday in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Salisbury, NC. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 PM Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Forbis and Dick Guilford Chapel, 5926 W. Friendly Ave. Greensboro.
