Craig S. Tillisch, 63, Casselton, ND, died Saturday, January 26, 2013 in his home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Craig Stephen Tillisch was born June 16, 1949 in Fargo, ND to Clayton and Dorothy Tillisch. Craig grew up in Moorhead, MN and spent summers on Pelican Lake. He attended St. Joseph's Catholic School and graduated from Moorhead High School. Following high school, Craig served in the US Army from 1967 to 1969. His service included one year in Vietnam with the 1st Division and the 11th Armored Cav Regiment. He returned home and attended Fergus Falls Community College and Moorhead State University. Craig spent 35 years in heavy duty truck sales, the last 17 years of which were with Fargo Freightliner. He married Susan Gilbraith May 8, 1978 in St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Fargo. They lived in Casselton for the past 17 years.

Craig was active in St. Leo's Catholic Church, Casselton City Council and Knights of Columbus. He loved his home, his yard, his pool and visiting with those passing by. He also enjoyed family time on Pelican Lake, boating and skiing, outdoor cooking as "Pierre La'Bleu" and monitoring the weather. Craig always had a spring in his step, a twinkle in his eye, a welcome in his smile and was very devoted to family, friends, and customers.

He is survived by his wife, Susan; children, Katie and Joe, all Casselton; three brothers; Don (Janet), Fargo, Bruce (Kathy), Marco Island, FL, Jack (Renae), Pelican Lake, MN; two sisters, Kay Lynn (Carmen) Christianson, Kokomo, IN, Jill (Kevin) O'Leary, St. Joseph, MN; mother-in-law, Joan Gilbraith, Fargo; brother-in-law, David Gilbraith, Hastings, MN and sister-in-law, Jackie (Joey) Wilt, Wheaton, MN, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
