Danny Wilson Jones, age 64, died Thursday, January 24, 2013 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, January 27, 2013 in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with Reverend Keith Miller officiating. Inurnment will follow at the mausoleum of Pinecrest Memorial Park.

He was a native of Johnston County and the son of the late Jeff Wilson Jones and Frances Gower Jones. He was a veteran of the US Army and worked as a farmer.

In addtion to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shanna Jones, and his wife of 44 years, Gloria Ann Price Jones.

He is survived by a daughter, Sandra Jones and her companion John Westbrook of Baden; three sons and daughters-in-law Wayne Jones, Jeffrey & Amy Jones and Bryan & Katie Jones, all of Clayton; six grandchildren, Chris Ross, Josh Ross, Blake Jones, Brady Jones, Kyan Jones and Kaden Jones; and one great grandchild, Carson Ross; two sisters, Diane Price and Donna Jones; a brother, Dennis Jones.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the funeral home prior to the service.
