Delanie "Dolly" Painter
On Thursday, January 31, 2013. Of Alexandria, VA. Sister of Christopher and Grant Painter. Dolly was an attorney at the Federal Election Commission for over twenty years. She attended Duke University, Boalt Hall Law School and enthusiastically traveled the world. Our sister was a generous, kind and witty person with a creative spirit and inexhaustible intellect. She loved her family and friends but she was also devoted to music, art, books, Duke basketball, cats, and everything Italian. We lost her much too soon, but we were lucky to have her in our lives. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 3:00pm at Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home 1500 West Braddock Rd. Alexandria, VA. Interment private. Memorials may be made to her favorite charities: Doctors Without Borders; Friends of the Homeless Animals (; and the American Refugee Committee.
