Della G. Lamoreux
Della G. Lamoreux, age 98, of Milledgeville, died Monday, January 14, 2013 at Rock Falls Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Della was born June 14, 1914 in Coleta the daughter of James and Pearl (Vinson) Crawford. She married Cecil Lamoreux on October 22, 1931 in Morrison. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2000. Della was employed at Borg Warner in Dixon until she retired in 1979. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Milledgeville and was a Legion Auxillary member in Milledgeville for over 50 years. Della enjoyed playing bingo and cards, doing crafts and bowling.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol (Claud) Ensinger of Dixon and Beverly ( Edward) Ritzer of Las Vegas, Nev.; one son, Clyde (Shirley) Lamoreux of Concord, NC; one sister, Shirley Turner of Polo; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; twelve great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two daughters, one grandson, three sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be Friday, January 18, 2013 from 9 – 11 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 520 Holcomb Avenue in Milledgeville. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Reverend Daniel Sturtevant of the United Methodist Church in Milledgeville officiating. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery in Milledgeville.
Memorials have been established to the Milledgeville Fire Department and the Milledgeville Bank.
