Mrs. Diane L. (Miller) Harne, 66, of 5349 Salem Church Road, Waynesboro, died Wednesday evening, January 16, 2013 in the Chambersburg Hospital. She had been in failing health since August and critically ill for the past month. Born August 15, 1946 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of Evelyn (Burkholder) Miller of Waynesboro and the late Robert Miller. She was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area. Mrs. Harne graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the class of 1964. She later attended beauty school in Hagerstown. She and her husband, the late Terrance L. "Terry" Harne, were married on January 8, 1966 in Hagerstown. They moved to the Salem Church Road address in 1972. Mr. Harne died on December 7, 2007. Mrs. Harne worked as a hairdresser for over 44 years. She worked for various beauty shops in the Hagerstown area and prior to retiring in 2008 owned and operated Di-Lynn Hair Designs in Hagerstown. She enjoyed shopping, traveling with her family and sister in law, JoAnn Stouffer, and the time spent with her granddaughter. She also loved going to the beach every oppurtunity she had. In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sons, Eric T. Harne and his wife Donna and Craig A. Harne; her mother in law, Helen Harne; and one granddaughter, Jenna M. Harne, all of Waynesboro In addition to her husband and father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Miller. Services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday evening, in the funeral home.
