Dortha Marie Herring, 76, of Greenwood passed away on January 30, 2013. She was born on September 20, 1936 a daughter of Wallace and Ruth Marie (Adams) Wilkins. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Herring. Also preceding her in death is a son Thomas George Herring.
Survivors include 2 sons; Doug Herring and Larry Herring, 4 daughters; Vicki Taylor, Dana Bergdoll, Stacy Moran, Shelly Herring, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Dortha graduated from George Washington High School in 1954. She retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
Visitation will be on Monday from 12-2 PM at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St. with the memorial service starting at 2 PM. Chaplain Mike Mercer will officiate.
Memorial contributions are suggested to National Kidney Foundation, 911 East 86th #100, Indianapolis IN 46240 or to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 3500 DePauw Blvd. Suite 2070, Indianapolis IN 46268.
