Boiling Springs, SC---Evelyn Estell George Knox, 84, of 240 Oak Circle, Boiling Springs, SC, passed away Friday, February 15th, at Regional Hospice Home, Spartanburg. Evelyn was born in Spartanburg, SC on January 8, 1929 the daughter of the late Mabel Marler and Broadus George. She was the widow of William "Bill" Charles Knox, was owner and operator of Knox Grocery and was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Evelyn is survived by a son,Timothy Todd Knox, of Boiling Springs; a brother, Fred George, of Spartanburg, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren The family is at the home and will receive friends Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery, Inman, SC, at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 18th, with Rev. Joe Geddes officiating.
