Forrest Alan Watson

Columbia – A visitation for Forrest Alan Watson, 26, will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 6 to 8 pm at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, 4219 Hard Scrabble Road, Columbia, SC 29223. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date in Virginia.

Mr. Watson died on Monday, February 4, 2013. Forrest's first and most important love was being a dad. He was a nationally ranked AT&T Top Regional Salesman for SC, NC and GA. He was a diehard Redskins fan, enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. Forrest was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where he was a member and pledge class President of Alpha Tau Omega.

Surviving is his beloved son, Adler Watson and his mother, Heather Morris of Columbia; his father and step-mother Ron and Cheryl Watson of Hague, VA; sister, Julie Watson of Arlington, VA; brother, Ronnie Watson and wife Berin of Columbia; step-sister, Ashby Collins and step-brother, John Collins of Alexandria, VA; step-grandfather, Dick Purdy; nieces and nephews, Bailey, Ever, Logan, Alex, Jacob and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Riddle Watson; grandmother, Viola Purdy and grandfather, Joe Watson.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the fund for his son Adler Watson at First Citizens Bank, 2760 Clemson Road, Columbia, SC 29229. Please make checks payable to: Forrest Watson Fund. Memorials may be made at any First Citizens branch or may be mailed to the branch above. Please sign the online guestbook at
