Our beloved Gregory Peter Topolnitski of Latrobe, PA passed away ever so untimely on the morning of Friday January 11, 2013 from natural causes in his beautiful loving home in Raleigh, NC with his wife, best friend, and love of his life Kristen Mitchell-Topolnitski right by his side. He was such an honorable, loving, loyal man! A incredibly proud father of one amazing beautiful 7 year old daughter Lauren Crounse Topolnitski; the humble proud son of his mother Dolores Topolnitski; his father Joseph Topolnitski & best man "Uncle Stubby" welcomed Greg in heaven and are surely celebrating his incredible life with him right now as we all should be here on earth too! Greg's loyal brother will always be Greg's other half, best friend, and proud confidante. Marks wife Michelle Topolnitski was so much more than a sister-in-law, but a voice of reason, strength, and love for our family including her son Micah Topolnitski, Greg's handsome, sweet nephew. Greg was so proud of you Micah!
Greg's family on his wife Kristen Mitchell Topolnitski's side had "adopted" him as their own too… And we will always cherish our many wonderful memories together, and share a love for Greg that will last forever. His mother-in-law "GiGi" Carol Mitchell and father-in-law Bob Mitchell will always be forever thankful for the happiness he brought their daughter. Kristen and Greg's friendship endured for over 12 years although their marriage was cut short – but nevertheless the love they share will live forever in both of their hearts and spirits. Greg's sisters & brother-in- law Kelly & Chad Promer & Katherine Mitchell all think of Greg as not only a brother but also a best friend and trusted confidante. His niece and nephew (in-law) Madelyn and Lincoln Promer look up to and love their "Uncle Greggie" with pride and amazement!
Gregory Peter Topolnitski was a man of many skills, nobility, much wisdom, and much love, but the ONE thing he should always be remembered by is the amazing FRIEND he was to all he loved! There wasn't anything he wouldn't do to help a loved one… And that is why he will live on in all of us forever.
A visitation will be held on Monday Jan. 14th, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Montlawn Funeral Home (2911 South Wilmington St, Raleigh NC 27603) and the funeral service will also be at Montlawn on Tuesday, January 15th 2013 at 2pm. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. We invite all who loved him to join us. God bless you Gregory! We love you…
