Jack Stone, 78, of New Buffalo passed away at home on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sommerfeld Chapel of New Buffalo.
Jack was born January 25, 1934 in LaPorte County, IN to Henry and Dorothy (Britzke) Stone. Jack was a mason/cement finisher for many years. He loved hunting, fishing and wintering in Florida. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony Hospice or to St. John United Church of Christ in New Buffalo.
Jack is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years Shirley (Walter) Stone; his children, Susan (John) Braun of Bridgman, MI, Linda Stone of New Buffalo and Charles (Felicia) Stone of Mishawaka, IN; grandchildren,
Carla Braun, Jennifer Braun, Steven Stone, Sarah Martin and Cassandra Webb; great grandchildren, Adan Reyna and James Martin; and a sister, Connie Stone of Lookout Mountain, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents-Henry and Dorothy, a sister-Audrey Hardacker, and a brother-Kenneth Stone.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sat., January 19, 12 noon, at Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo, with Pastor Damien Lake officiating.
