Jacqueline Ann Griffith (nee DeTillio), 70, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain after a brief illness.

She was born April 8, 1942 in Lorain and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 10 years, moving from Amherst and Lorain.

Jacqueline graduated from Lorain High School and St. Joseph School of Nursing. She worked as a licensed practical nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital and North Ohio Heart Center for 25 years, retiring in 2004.

She was a member of Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church, Lorain where she had been active with C.Y.O. She enjoyed spending time at her home in Florida, and traveling the US with one of her favorite destinations being Disney World. Jackie was an avid fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Cleveland Indians. Amongst a family of Ohio State football fans, she was a secret Notre Dame fan. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Meredith "Lee" Griffith, DMD; son, Jeffrey (Gayle) Dittmer of New Albany; daughters, Joy (Mark) Culig of Amherst and Dyana Adkins of Lorain; grandchildren: Eric, Maria, Brett, Brandon, and Bryana; great-grandchild, Mia; and brother, George DeTillio of Lorain.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Anastasia (nee Durjava) DeTillio.

Private family services were handled by Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Inurnment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
