James was born on September 3, 1917 and passed away on Monday, November 2, 2009.

James was last known to be living in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

He graduated from Benvenue High School.

James served in the Army Signal Corps during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife Arlene.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 04, 2009 from 6:30-8:30pm at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, November 05, 2009 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Rev. Bettie Kirkpatrick officiating.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, 305 S. Halifax Road, Rocky Mount NC 27804.
