Jana Lee (Opdycke) Hughes, 74, passed away Monday, January 21, 2013 at St. Anne Home in Fort Wayne. Born in Auburn, IN, Jana was a teacher and Head of the Business Dept. with SWAC Schools and Homestead High School for 22 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of St. Joseph United Methodist Church, Tri Kappa- Huntington Chapter, Starcraft Camper Club and was a founding member of Ageless Iron of Roanoke. She is survived by her sons, Greg (Karen) of Pleasant Lake, IN and Gary (Lori) Brownsburg, IN; daughter, Karen (Dan) Unger of Ft. Wayne; 9 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Douglas Opdycke of Bonita Springs, FL; and former husband, Dan W. Hughes of Elwood, IN. Jana was preceded in death by her parents, Hemen and Helen Opdycke; and brother, Dallas Opdycke.

Funeral service is 10 am, January 26, 2013 at St. Joseph United Methodist Church, 6004 Reed Road with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 3 to 4 pm Friday at St. Anne Home Chapel, 1900 Randallia Dr and from 6 to 9 pm Friday at D.O. McComb And Sons Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Ave. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn, Indiana. Memorials to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana or St. Anne Nursing Home.
