Janet Irene Daniel died unexpectedly on February 18, 2013 at West Jefferson Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Irene Turner of Hull, England. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Paul Francis George Daniel (Durban, South Africa), daughter, Janine Dunn (Paul), son René Daniel (Julia) and three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Dunn, Janet Dunn and Maxime Daniel. Mrs. Daniel was born on March 10, 1944 in Yorkshire, England. She held a Bachelors Degree in counseling and worked as a licensed substance abuse counselor for 20+ years until her retirement in 2012. She had resided in the New Orleans area in excess of 20 years. She will be sadly missed by friends and family.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124 on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
