John "Johnny Bone" Henry McLeod, , 52 of Benton, Kentucky died on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Marshall Co. Hospital in Benton, Kentucky. He was a laborer for the industrial cleaning industry and a member of Benton Church of Christ.
Born Saturday, December 17, 1960 in Hayti, Missouri, he was the son of the late George McLeod and the late Ruby Mitchum McLeod.
Surviving are wife, Linda Fay (Surles) McLeod, Benton, KY, son, William Edward McLeod of Benton, KY, step son, William Guy York, Benton, KY, step daughters, Pamela Jestes, Benton, KY, Stephanie Lynn York, Benton, KY, Angela Faye Walker, Benton, KY, brothers, Russell McLeod of Benton, KY, Phillip McLeod of Benton, KY, Terry Lee McLeod of Benton, KY, Bob McLeod of Benton, KY and Louis "Buddy" McLeod of Princeton, KY, sisters, Linda Sue McLeod of Smithland, KY, Wilma Dean Taylor of Calvert City, KY, Betty Fay Chastain of Cape Girardeau, MO, Bethel Henson of Mayfield, KY, Mary Lou Thompson of Benton, KY and Tammy Renee McLeod of Smithland, KY. Also surviving are 12 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by brothers, Claude Earl McLeod, George Paul McLeod and Joseph McLeod, sisters, Georgia Faye Milter, Jean Estes, Barbara L. McLeod and Jackie McLeod.
A Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, Kentucky 42025 with the Pete Gunn, III officiating.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Collier Funeral Home.
