Rev. Lonnie Eugene Agee, 60, of 1016 N. Mebane St. went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Duke University Medical Center. Rev. Agee was born in Franklin County Virginia on March 25, 1949 to the late Carl Kermit and Virgie Stump Agee. Lonnie was retired electrician, was of the Baptist faith, was a retired Baptist minister and was a U. S. Army Veteran. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Annie Jean Duncan Agee of the home; a daughter, Christie Agee Murray and her husband, Phil of Burlington; step-grandson, Phillip W. Murray; two brothers, Larry Agee and Barry Agee (Debbie); two sisters, Joan Clayton and Faye Webster (Randy). A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2009 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Darrell Massey officiating. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home. Memorials can be made to the March of Dimes 1275 Mamaroneck, Av.
