Mrs. Simmons was born on July 10, 1927 and passed away on Friday, October 30, 2009.

Mrs. Simmons was last known to be living in Burlington, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Monday, November 2, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. J. W. Melvin. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m. Other times they will be at the residence of the son, Timothy Simmons, 1555 Trollingwood Road, Lot 2, Haw River, NC.
