Marie Virginia Harris Schell, a loving homemaker, died Friday, February 15, 2013. She was 87. Mrs. Schell was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She graduated from Mercy Academy and attended Newcomb College. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church. Busy raising 10 children she devoted herself to God and to her adoring husband of 64 years. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Survived by her husband Donald Bernard Schell; 10 children: Deborah Schell Macaluso (Richard), Donald Bernard, Jr., Anne Hopkins Schell, Michael Thomas, Clayton Henry, Harris Charles (Sandra), Craig Christopher (Deborah), Helen Schell Gerig, Robin Schell Pick (Daniel) and William Joseph. 1 brother: Christian Brother Delbert Harris and 1 sister Joel H. Robichaux; 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents Dr. William H. Harris, Sr. and Mercedes Friedrichs Harris; her brothers: Dr. William H. Harris Jr, Dr. Friedrichs Harris, Donald J. Harris; sisters: Sister Elizabeth Harris, RC, Mercedes H. Burton, Jane H. Barker and Catherine H. Pearse.
