Reverend Norman Lee Simpson, age 77, passed peacefully into the arms of his Savior on Friday, January 11, 2013 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 14, 2013 at Shiloh Baptist Church with Reverend Mitch Lockamy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Baltimore, MD and a son of the late Luther Simpson and Helen Chisholm Simpson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Luther Merrill Simpson.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Simpson; five children, Frances Phoebus, Bryan Simpson, Linda Ashouri, Brenda Simpson, and Dawn Simpson; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Sunday, January 13, 2013 at McLaurin Funeral Home.
