Pamela Marie Lawson, age 55 of Seymour, passed away 11:43a.m. at Columbus Regional Hospital after fighting lung cancer. Born May 15, 1957 in Seymour, she was the daughter of Joseph Leo and Ruby (Inglis) Deppen. She was married to Timothy Ed Lawson who passed away on February 24, 2006.
She retired as a cafeteria manager after 27 years of service to Seymour Community School System. Pam was a member of the First Marion Baptist Church as well as Seymour Chapter #134 Order of the Eastern Star, Fraternal Order of the Eagles #655, and American Legion Post #89. She enjoyed being outside and loved Daytona at spring break and shopping on Black Friday. She also loved her family especially her grandkids.
Survivors include her fiancé, Roger Day of Seymour, three children, Tobias (Belinda) Lawson Tiffani (Toby) Calhoun and Trent Lawson all of Seymour; two brothers, Joseph (Rita) Deppen and Shawn (Lisa) Deppen all of Seymour; two sisters, Phyllis (Odas) Higginbotham of Commiskey and Donna (Ronald) Reichenbacker of Seymour; father-in-law, Ed Lawson of Seymour; two sister-in-laws, Vickie Gilbert and Lillie Kramer of Seymour; five grandchildren, Trevor and Kailey Lawson, Maggie and Myles Calhoun and Katelyn McCammon. Pam also has several nieces and nephews who survive.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents and husband Tim.
A visitation will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 1202 N Ewing Street Seymour on Tuesday, February 26th from 3:00pm until 8:00pm and on Wednesday from 10:00am until 11:00am at First Marion Baptist Church, 7730 W. County Road 850 S. Commiskey, Indiana 47227. Services will be conducted by Jeff Hood at First Marion Baptist Church on Wednesday at 11:00am. Burial will follow services at First Marion Baptist Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Jackson Elementary PTO, First Marion Baptist Cemetery or Calvary Baptist Church.
