Edward W. Sykes, 95, of Hobe Sound, FL passed January 30, 2013. He was born May 15, 1917 in Charleston, WV to the late H. L. and Mary J. Sykes. Ed was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict and was a retired Air Force Reservist. He was also a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Ed was known for his since of humor, loving gentle ways and his love for billiards.
Ed is survived by his daughter Linda Smith, four grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
A service honoring Ed's Life will be held 1PM Thursday, February 6 at Bartlett Burdette Cox Funeral Home with H.R. Whittington officiating. The burial will follow the service at Cunningham Memorial Park. Friends and family may call from 6-8PM Wednesday, February 5 at the funeral home.
