Remo, known as Ray to family and friends, was born in Flushing Hospital, Long Island, New York on March 29, 1934 to Filomena (Fannie) nee DellaGala and Remo (Ray) Latini. He graduated from St. Ann's High School, Manhattan, New York in 1952 and Manhattan College, Riverside, New York in 1956 with a B.A. in Chemistry. After graduation he secured employment at Hoffmann-LaRoche Pharmaceuticals in Nutley, New Jersey before entering the United States Air Force as 2nd Lt. in December of that same year, 1956. After completing training in Colorado in Chemical, Biological and Radiological (CBR) warfare Ray was stationed at RAF Chelveston, Northants., England where he remained until his discharge from the USAF in September, 1959. While in England he met and married Mary Lou Knight of Key West, Florida, dependant of Lt. Col. and Mrs. Joseph W. Knight also stationed at RAF Chelveston. After returning to the United States Ray resumed employment at Hoffmann-LaRoche as a Chemist. Ray retired from HLR in April 2001. Not long after he and Mary Lou moved to her home state of Florida where he resided until his passing in August of this year, 2011.
Ray and Mary Lou are parents of two children, Raymond Anthony Latini and Mary Louise Latini Brittain and Grandparents to James Franklin (JT) Brittain, III and Mariana Elizabeth Brittain of Maryland.
Ray is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Lou, his two children,,his son-in-law James F. Brittain two Grand children, his sister Thalia (Kitty) Kupillas, his brother-in-law Lawrence (Larry) Kupillas of Long Island, New York and Green Acres, Florida, his brothers-in-law Joseph W. Knight, Jr. and Scott A. Knight both of Texas, four nieces, two nephews and several cousins in New York.
