Ron was born on September 14, 1947, in Lakewood, Ohio, and passed away on January 30, 2013, at his home in Arlington, Virginia.
His parents were Lillian Gaydos and Michael Krivosh. Lillian was widowed when Ron was only three years old. After Ron and his brother, Mickey, were a bit older, she married John (Janko) Jantosik, who was a devoted stepdad to the boys. Both Lillian and Janko predeceased Ron.
Ron grew up in a close family with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins all sharing a family-owned four-unit apartment house. He graduated from Lakewood High School in 1965, and went on to study business and accounting at Baldwin-Wallace College (now University) in Berea, OH.
He began the first of many successful jobs in retail management when he went to work for The May Company of Cleveland in the early 1970s. From there, he was promoted and transferred to executive positions with department store chains in St. Louis, Los Angeles, Trumball, CT, and Washington, DC. Before retiring in 2004, Ron spent the last years of his career providing his retail expertise to Northrup Grumman on a contract with the US Postal Service. He was a member of the Old Dominion Boat Club, in Alexandria, VA.
His first marriage, to Joanne Heierding, ended in divorce. Ron's survived by his wife, Shannon Chapman MacGregor, of the Arlington home; his son, Chad Krivosh, daughter-in-law, Thais Mendes Krivosh, and his cherished grandson, Lukas Michael Krivosh, all from Orlando, FL; and from Lakewood, OH, his brother, Mickey Krivosh, sister-in-law, Patty Krivosh, their children, Ryan Krivosh (Kira), and Jennifer Norton (Zach). Ron was particularly close to his in-laws, and will be deeply missed by Shannon's parents, Barbara and Don Chapman, as well as his sister-in-law, Kelly Chapman, brother-in-law, Chris Chapman (Kendra), nephew, Michael Chapman, and niece, Alexis Chapman.
Ron enjoyed all sports, and was an avid golfer. He was a real nature lover and had a knack for gardening and landscaping. He was an excellent cook -- everybody loved his famous potato salad! He was a true friend to many people in the community, and was always first to offer a hand to anyone who needed help. Ron was one of the "good guys" -- he was a happy and caring man who loved his family, and we're so grateful for our time together with him. He made a difference in this world.
