Belmont Steve Ingram Willie "Steve" Ingram II, age 33, loving son and dear friend was summoned to be with Jesus on Friday, November 20. He now walks the roads of Heaven - an angel has been called. A native of Gaston County, he is the son of Karen Smithey and her husband Dale of Belmont and the late W.S. Ingram of Mooresville. Steve was a devoted family man and a dear friend to many. His talents included being an avid artist and sketchest. A service celebrating Steve's life will be held at the Bumgardner Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors on Sunday, November 22 at 3:00 PM with Jason Payseur officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Steve is survived by his grandparents Barbara Miller of Charlotte and Bill and Frances Smithey of Stanley. Donations in his name may be directed to Muscular Distrophy Association, 484 Williamson Rd., Mooresville, NC 28117. Arrangements by McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont.
Only the main photo has been provided by the family or the funeral home.
Karen: I was so sad to hear of your son's passing. Lee and I have been lifting you and your husband up in prayer. I pray the Holy Spirit will comfort you greatly during this time. Lean on him and draw grace and mercy from Him. We'll continue to lift you up.

Steve was an inspiration to all of us at Myrtle Terrace. I know I will miss very much. My life was blessed when I met Steve. I enjoyed our talks and us playing scrabble. Just know that he is in a better place with a perfect body and WALKING with Jesus.

Steve was my friend and brother, he loved life and took hold of every day with joy. You would never hear him complain or say a harsh word of anyone. Steve had a wicked sence humor that would bring you to your knees with laughter. He and I were both comic book fans and and would spend hours reading and laughing. I have to look at his passing like this...JESUS gave him to us as a temporary gift, and now needs him back home in HIS arms. I LOVE YOU MAN...no goodbyes...I'LL SEE YOU ONCE AGAIN. LOVE SC
