Dr. Virginia Ann Frey

Ann was there for me in my early 20s when I was transitioning from college to young adulthood. Lamar and she gave me a home. And what a home that was! A home for troubled teenagers. Grace and I became the "counselors". I remember 12 or more people at the dinner table (and the accompanying mound of dishes) , "guarding" a runaway, and piling into the van to go to church. I remember Ann pounding the piano and leading worship.

I remember Ann pounding the piano and leading worship. From her I also learned to play and lead worship with exuberance! I have never known anyone who read the Bible and knew the bible as much as Ann. I remember going on a long car trip to Col. And Ann was reading the Bible as she was driving!

Ann had the best sense of humor. Life could be tough, but Ann maintained her joy! She embraced a lot of people in her life. She will be remembered with love.

My prayers are with Debi, Jeff and Tammy and their families at Ann's homegoing as we know she is in the presence of her Lord and Saviour.
